When awakening from a dream, the reality of another is realised at once in: the town. You enter the built up area, skimming the modern and panoramic Viale delle Rimembranze, you feel "embraced" by the poligonal pizza Giovanni XXII (on the left) where the Town Hall and restored Church of San Francesco are situated, and by the flower filled Piazza Cammareri (on the right). Here, the principal activities of the people of Forza d'Agrò arise: the bar, the restaurants, the pizzerias, the trattorias. From on high, the complex of SS. Trinità dominates, with the church, the convent and the Durazzesco Arch. The visitor, arriving by car to Forza d'Agrò, can park in Piazza S. Francesco, according to "u Ghianu" which is a wide flat area. From here, on foot, you can begin the tourist "walk" of the town. |
